This two-day workshop led by Angela Purviance, will cover non-toxic copperplate etching. Participants will learn how to create both line work and aquatint using innovative materials like soy wax, India ink, floor polish, and saltwater electro-etch instead of the traditional hazardous chemicals. In this class, we will learn the ins and outs of using experimental resists to achieve textures and tones. No printmaking experience is necessary; just bring your creative energy and a willingness to play.
Class limited to six participants. Participants should bring an image or drawing to work from and items to take notes with. $150 Fee includes studio time, tuition and materials. Classes run 10am - 3pm, including a 1 hour lunch break.
