An Oregon coast native, Nicole moved to Los Angeles in 1997 to pursue a career in professional dance. She took her first yoga class in 1999, and was hooked. Inspired by the countless benefits of the yoga practice, she completed her 200 hour yoga alliance certification in 2009 at Rising Lotus Yoga in Sherman Oaks, CA., and began teaching. She then continued her education in 2011 with Maty Ezraty, founder of YogaWorks, and in 2012 found her teacher and mentor, Annie Carpenter, and completed her RYT 500 hour teaching certification with Annie under her signature SmartFLOW method, at Exhale Center for Sacred Movement in Venice, CA. Nicole teaches classes, workshops, retreats, yoga for addiction recovery, and periodically writes for Elephant Journal. Her teaching style share’s her enthusiasm and love for the yoga practice, focusing on alignment and the breath/body connection as a way to heal, calm, and center ourselves. She believes that how you do anything, is how you do everything, and through practice, we reveal our true nature. Namaste.
