Workshop Description: In this 1 or 2 day workshop, students will learn how to interpret their own photos into a special painting or drawing. We will explore many water-based mixed media materials such as gouache and pastel to inspire & create small works to serve as your souvenirs of this beautiful place we call Cannon Beach, Oregon.
*Prerequisite: Day 2 students must sign up for and participate in Day 1 class. Day 1 can be taken alone. You are encouraged to bring pictures of sunsets/ sunrises to use as inspirational material for your piece. All other materials will be provided for class use. Students are welcome to bring personal supplies if desired.
Nancy Smith Klos
Nancy Smith Klos earned her Fine Art degree from Connecticut College with additional study at the Parsons School of Design in Paris. She also studied in the Fiber Arts Program at The Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland, Oregon. She shows often at the Oregon Coast and has been the Artist-In-Residence At the Hawk Creek Gallery in Neskowin three different years. From 2014-16 she was the Artist-in-Residence at the Lan Su Chinese Garden. Nancy has lived in Portland, Oregon since 1985 where she teaches and produces original artwork for a national clientele
