Savor Cannon Beach Wine & Culinary Festival
Savor Cannon Beach
Sept. 30-Oct. 29, 2022
Savor Cannon Beach presents a month-long series of wine and culinary experiences in October 2022, including exclusive wine tasting experiences, wine and art events in the galleries, and a weekly series of fun and educational wine tastings. These premium small group tastings allow us to share our extremely limited supply of some fantastic wines from our cellar from previous years of our event.
You'll have the opportunity to taste a flight of 10-year-old reds, a six-year vertical of Oregon Pinot Noir, and the top award winners from the 2022 Savor Northwest Wine Awards held earlier in the year in Cannon Beach. Educational programs and experiences include a blind tasting of classic French wines paired with their Northwest equivalents; a Pinot Noir Challenge where you will be tested to tell the difference between top-quality Oregon Pinot Noirs, a French Premier Cru Burgundy, and a $20 bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir; and programs to learn about the art and science of pairing wines with food.

Some of the highlights of the festival include:
The Pinot Noir Challenge is among a series of pre-dinner wine experiences at Bistro restaurant. This event is a blind tasting of six Pinots, including two Oregon wines selected among Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the Year. You’ll also taste a French Burgundy and a Pinot Noir from Oregon that retails for under $20. You’ll be challenged to guess which is which.
Saturday Wine & Art Events will include a series of exclusive tastings in the galleries, including a six-wine horizontal of 11-year-old, site-specific Pinot Noirs from one of Oregon's most celebrated winemakers, the late Patricia Green. These pre-dinner experiences include a gallery tour where you’ll be introduced to the work of some of the most popular artists represented by Cannon Beach galleries.
Wines You Love to Hate & Why You Should Get Over It is a fun and educational tasting of exceptional wines representing five of the most misunderstood wines and varietals.
Seafood Wines & Small Plates is a light dinner including wine pairings from Oregon wine pioneer Sokol-Blosser with food by chef/owner Doug Brown from Seasons Café.
We're leaving most of the culinary offerings to the restaurants that have had one crazy year. We encourage you to support them as they offer special dinners, fall menu items, wine, and beer tastings, and other unique culinary events. Other local businesses participate in the festival with their events too!
