Details

COVID-19 - The museum is open. An appointment is required. We require masks and try to socially distance. Maximum 2-3 related people permitted at one appointment. Lost Art of Nursing Museum and Gallery  There was a time when nursing was celebrated in song and verse. When world famous artists were commissioned to capture nurses on canvas. When magazine covers, advertisements, poems, and sheet music immortalized nurses. When books, dolls, and toys made every little girl dream of being a nurse when she grew up. There was a time when it was bold, noble, and patriotic to be a nurse. That time has come again! Gift Shop - including fine reproductions of vintage artwork, books, posters, greeting cards, pins, and buttons for nurses.  It's already our 3rd year! Come see us during Summer Saturdays beginning in June from 1PM to 4PM or anytime of the year by appointment (just call 301-208-8060). Admission is always free! Directions - Take the Tolovana exit. Go north on S. Hemlock about a block. Located between the Wareen Pub and the Inn at Cannon Beach.
