Join us at the Sea Ranch where we have a beautiful outdoor work environment just blocks from the ocean and a 5-minute stroll from the city center of Cannon Beach. We are looking for two or more positions of a Maintenance person/Front Desk Clerk to join our team and manage our front desk daily and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. While training this position pays $15-18/hour, when training is complete we raise the pay to $18-20/hour. We could use someone that just wants to work at the front desk and someone that would like to mix it up and do maintenance and front desk work.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist’s duties include answering calls, taking messages, making reservations, taking payments in person and over the phone, managing correspondence, and keeping the shared office areas organized and functional. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. To be successful as a Front Desk Clerk, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with unexpected complications quickly and effectively while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, a Front Desk Clerk's duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
We would also like you to work a few days a week as our maintenance person. Duties include cleaning the cabins, checking and cleaning up camp spaces after guests check out, and cleaning the bathrooms.
Responsibilities
• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
• Check them in, take payment, and facilitate them to their cabin or camping space.
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures)
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures
• Check the park to make sure all camping spaces are paid for in full
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
• Cleaning the park cabins
• Cleaning the fire rings and camp spaces
• Cleaning the bathrooms, laundry room, and mini spa.
Skills
• Either work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role or keenness to learn these tasks
• Proficiency in basic computer skills
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Customer service attitude
• High school degree
• Math skills- making change and percentages
• Flexibility to work in the front office and outside in the weather
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $1800/ hr for first 30-90 days then, $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
COVID-19 considerations:
All customers are asked to check in at our outside front desk area. Our indoor front desk area has a strong air filter. Although we are doing most of our check in over the phone, if people do come to our front desk, they remain outside.
