Located at 1140 Broadway in Seaside, this aquatic facility consists of two pools, a spa and a modest fitness room. The main lap pool has six lanes and is kept at a constant 83.5°f. Our smaller warm water pool, great for working and stretching tight muscles, is 90.5°f and the spa is kept at 102°f. The pool also features a rock climbing wall and water slide. The fitness room is home to a treadmill, rowing machine, eliptical machine, stationary bicycle, universal machine and a number of free wieghts. Information on our Circuit Training classes is available in our current Program Guide.
Seaside Youth Center shares a common wall with Sunset Pool. The center is home to our Preschool program, After School Adventure program and our popular Summer Camp program.
During the summer, winter and spring school breaks, the center also acts as the home site for the Summer Lunch Program. The program is led by Coral Cook and Our Saviors Lutheran Church, in partnership with the Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District. Lunches are served between 11 am and noon, Monday through Friday and are free to anyone 17 and under.
The center is available for rent anytime outside of its normal hours of operation which are 9 am – 11 am and 3:30 pm – 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
The center’s main room can accomodate up to 75 people. The current rental rates are:
In-District – $25.00/hr. Out-of-District – $37.50/hr.
Located at 1225 Avenue A in Seaside, this 5,200 sq.ft. facility is available for rentals 7 days a week (don’t know how to find us? Click here for a map!). It consists of 2 meeting rooms that can be combined to form one room (total 50 person capacity), a small meeting room (15 person capacity), and a large hall with attached commercial kitchen (hall capacity is 140 persons seated). The kitchen can be rented separately from the Hall for commercial food preparation projects.
Rental prices are determined by residency and whether the use is for a profit making venture. Fundraisers, either for the benefit of an individual or an organization are considered “not for profit/civic” events and fall under that category. An informational form with fees is available here.
All rentals require a $60 refundable cleaning deposit, which must be recieved before any rental will be put on the facility calendar–verbal requests, either in person or over the phone will not hold a date.
Rentals outside our operational hours of 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday require an additional $15 /hr. staffing fee. A rental application is required and can be downloaded by clicking this link. Please submit a completed application with your deposit.
