Sunset Empire Transportation District: Fixed Route Bus Drivers - FT

Sunset Empire Transportation District (SETD), based in Astoria, Oregon, is seeking applications for energetic individuals with great customer service skills to fill (8) full-time Fixed Route Bus Driver positions. Fixed Route Drivers are responsible for operating buses which require being in control of the bus and knowledge of all equipment used in a safe and efficient manner. The driver is responsible for providing safety and well-being to their passengers.
Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, two (2) years previous driving experience (preferred), operating transportation vehicles and experience working with elderly and/or disabled riders. CPR and First Aid certification is recommended.
Certifications required include Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) w/air brakes, passenger endorsement and a CDL Medical Certificate, Defensive Driving Certificate and PASS Certificate. Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
• Wage range is $14.64 - $20.48 per hour +Excellent Benefits
• Shifts are variable according to routes
Astoria is in Clatsop County where the Pacific Ocean meets the mighty Columbia River. The area is rich in its natural beauty and a destination spot for people from all over the world. There are many historical aspects to the area including being located at the end of the Lewis & Clark trail.
