Hotels/rentals are taking guests, Restaurants may offer limited seating, businesses are open with safety protocols in place. Beaches are open. The State of Oregon requires face coverings in all indoor public spaces. In addition, face coverings are required in outdoor public spaces when physical distancing is not possible. Garbage left behind on our beaches and parks has become a concern so please remember to "Pack OUT what you pack In.. help protect our environment".

Beginning in November, Cannon Beach plays host to Haystack Holidays, a series of holiday events designed to put the fun back into the holiday season. Some Haystack Holidays highlights include Mimosa Madness, Cannon Beach’s refreshing alternative to the craziness of Black Friday, a long time local tradition; wreathmaking classes; the downtown Lamp Lighting Ceremony; Pictures with Santa; and a special holiday concert. Cannon Beach offers the perfect holiday shopping season getaway with the picturesque village lit up festively and shops and galleries offering unique gift opportunities. Of course, when your shopping is done, you can enjoy the spectacular Oregon Coast during a season like no other.

Annie Live on Stage  | November 15 – December 22

Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Tickets available at www.coastertheatre.com. For more details, call the Coaster Theatre at (503) 436-1242.

Mimosa Madness | Friday, November 29

A unique shopping extravaganza! Get up early with Cannon Beach for a unique shopping experience. Be “One of a Kind” not one of the crowd. Celebrate the day after Thanksgiving in our small beach town offering big excitement, personal service, and refreshments while you shop. Wreath Making Classes & Cookie Contest | Saturday, November 30 & Saturday, December 7

Get creative at the Cannon Beach Chamber Community Hall from 11am until 3pm. This wreath making event comes with an instructor– along with refreshments and holiday music with a chance to vote on Cannon Beach's Best Cookie. Competing local businesses will have their best cookie recipe! Recycle last year’s ring and receive a discount. Cost: $22 or 2 for $40.

Cannon Beach in Lights & ‘Name That Tune’ Window Display Contest | Dec. 2–21

Join the local festivities as Cannon Beach gets decked out for the holidays. Visit participating retailers to check out their decorations and window displays themed to a Yuletide song, submit correct ‘Name That Tune’ window display playing cards to the Chamber Visitor Information Center for a chance to win a holiday gift basket. You may also vote for your favorite business decorations in the Cannon Beach in Lights competition. Votes will be accepted in person at the Chamber Visitor Information Center or online through December 20. Winners will be announced at the Coaster Theatre performance on December 21. 

Cannon Beach Chorus Holiday Concerts | Friday, Dec. 6 – Sunday, Dec. 8

Holiday Tea | Saturday, December 7

Enjoy home baked cookies, tea and cider. During the event they will draw the winner of their annual Quilt Drawing; you do not have to be present to win. Cozy up at the Cannon Beach Library from 1pm until 4pm. Free to the public. Lamp Lighting Ceremony | Saturday, December 7

Join us in Sandpiper Square for a tender Cannon Beach Christmas experience, our beloved holiday tradition at 4pm. Enjoy music, singing, and special guests with treats and refreshments after the ceremony. Free to the public. For more details, call (503) 436-2623.

Pictures with Santa | Saturday, December 14

Santa Claus is coming to town. Come support the Cannon Beach Academy and get your picture with Santa and elves from the Cannon Beach Fire Department. Located at the Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce from 1pm until 4pm.   Ho Ho Ho!

Winter Concert with Fireside Social Orchestra | Thursday, December 26

A Fireside Christmas! Fireside Social Orchestra will perform music of the Nineteenth Century on period instruments and voices during a festive concert at the Coaster Theatre. Performance starts at 7pm and tickets are $30. For more information and tickets, click HERE!
