How to be a Spectator at the Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest
Event Schedule
The weekend's schedule of events begins on Friday, June 20th, at 10 am, and end on Sunday, June 22nd, at noon. See below for a full detailed schedule.
Where to Park
There are several places to park in Cannon Beach. Parking for the contest is allowed in every public parking lot, on the beach (for the time of the contest only), and on the side of streets. To view a city map of places to park, click here. *Please observe and notice signs that say no parking on this side of the street in residential areas*
How to get to the Contest
The contest will be held on the beach off of the "Presidential" streets, west of Ocean Avenue near Madison Street. A spectator may walk into the contest area from the north, south, or east.
Food & Merchandise
There will be food and merchandise available for purchase on the beach.
Restrooms
There will be port-a-potties at the contest on the beach on the west side of the contest. Port-a-Potties will be on the beach until 4 pm.
First Aid & Information
Cannon Beach Rural Fire Protection District will be on the beach as well as the Cannon Beach Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for anyone who might need first aid services. There will also be an information tent for folks who wish to learn more about the contest, Cannon Beach, or if you get separated from family members, this is a good place to gather.

Friday, June 20th
10 am to 5 pm Live Demonstration with Master Sandcastle Builder Bill Rose on the beach off of 2nd Street
10 am to 7 pm Packet Pick Up at the Cannon Beach Chamber Community Hall
Saturday, June 21 - Times To Be Announced
Contestant and Volunteer Beach Parking Opens
