The Ocean Lodge — in Cannon Beach, Oregon (Opened November 2002) – The magic of this property is its rare premiere location, remarkable architecture, and our tasteful, fun beach interiors. It is located right on the ocean in Cannon Beach. But, beyond its extraordinary location and building, it is the culture of this inn that guests continue to rave about. A culture of caring and attention to detail drives its exceptional reputation for excellence, warmth, and hospitality. Every hotel aspires to this reputation, and The Ocean Lodge has a lock on it.
The Ocean Lodge hints at a 1940’s era beach resort with sloping rooflines and large wrap-around verandas with stunning unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and Haystack rocks. Thirty-seven oceanfront guest accommodations are housed in the main lodge, and an additional eight units are sited in the companion buildings across our drive. The lobby has massive rough-hewn Douglas fir wood columns and beams. The beautiful, reclaimed hardwood floors are anchored by our focal point - a gigantic two-story river-rock wood-burning fireplace. Upstairs a library with its fireplace is filled with old tomes of classic literature and fun books for our guests to enjoy. Coffee table books are scattered throughout the public spaces. The library overlooks the lobby and is adjacent to the breakfast room. The breakfast room features our signature hand-blown glass chandelier by regional artist Andy Nichols. At night when guests arrive, the massive display windows glow with this spectacularly colorful glass artwork and set the tone that whimsy is afoot at The Ocean Lodge.
