The City of Cannon Beach/Clatsop County are in Phase 2 of the Reopening plan. Hotels/rentals are taking guests, Restaurants may offer limited seating, businesses are open with safety protocols in place. Beaches are open. The State of Oregon requires face coverings in all indoor public spaces. In addition, face coverings are required in outdoor public spaces when physical distancing is not possible. Garbage left behind on our beaches and parks has become a concern so please remember to "Pack OUT what you pack In.. help protect our environment".

Over ten years ago the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum opened its doors to the public.  Today, the Museum offers interactive exhibits, rotating and traveling exhibits, as well as a free lectures, quilt shows, and educational field trips for elementary schools. The Museum is home to the cannon that Cannon Beach is named for and houses over 12,000 historic Cannon Beach and Arch Cape related photos and documents in our archives.  Don't miss the Native American Longhouse replica while you are here! Be sure to check out the Museum's temporary exhibit on 'Oregon Coast Shipwrecks.' The Museum is open from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Monday, closed Tuesdays. Look for our annual fundraiser, The 17th Annual Cottage Tour on Saturday, September 12, 2020!
